The BPI Sports NASCAR Cup, Nationwide, Truck, Formula One, Indy Car and Indy Lights standings are now up! The standings are now ordered by what I’m calling the “BPIX” number which adds weight to each finishing position so that finishing 2nd and 43rd is now better than finishing 22nd and 23rd. Previously when I compiled the unadjusted standings, these two sets of outcomes would have been viewed as equal, scoring the same amount of points. The BPIX system now rewards drivers who finish closer to first in races, as opposed to being mired mid-pack somewhere all season. ANDRADE COLLEGE BASKETBALL RANKINGS ARE FINAL!
The FINAL edition of the Andrade college basketball rankings are now up! They were/are developed by a very good friend of mine, Patrick Andrade. Here is how he explains his ranking system/process...“This ranking system takes every game into account looking at the quality of the opponent played as well as the location of the game. Wins are taken as positive events while losses are viewed as negative events. The value of each win (or loss) varies by strength of opponent and location. Losses are negative values while wins are positive values - the sum of all events is then divided by the total games played to produce a team score.”I’m proud to display the rankings of this intelligent, avid sports enthusiast with an M.A. degree from the University of Louisville, and I hope you enjoy his college basketball rankings.
